Each series, we select a theme and then screen films that fit the theme. Think of it as an extended conversation, with each film adding a new voice. Quirky, controversial, heart-wrenching, or hilarious, our goal is to entertain and educate. And you can’t beat the price. Admission is free!

Current Theme: On the Margins: Documentaries from the Fringe

Being on the margin, being marginalized, is often used as an insult, to demonstrate how far “out of touch” from accepted culture or behavior a group or an individual has become. These people or groups on the fringe are held at arms’ length. But those on the margins can also stand at the vanguard of change, whether that change is intensely personal or world-changing. They may be geniuses or madmen or perhaps a bit of both! Whether it's art, religion, gender, music, recreation, or science, these dozen documentaries let us see  how being on the margin can give us new insight into compelling worlds of ideas and emotions previously hidden from our attention.
