IFS History
Founded in 1988, the
Indiana Film Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to bringing foreign, independent
and hard-to-find films to audiences across the state.
IFS sponsors a bi-weekly Spring/Fall film series. We select a theme
for each series and then screen films that fit the theme. Think of
each series as an extended conversation with each film adding a new
voice. Quirky, controversial, heart-wrenching, or hilarious, our
goal is educate through entertainment. And you can’t beat the
price. Admission is free!
IFS is also home to the INDY Awards, a
small film festival, highlighting Indiana films and filmmakers.
IFS depends heavily on membership dues and donations. Your
membership and support insures that IFS will continue to help the
Hoosier film community grow. |
