Founded in 1988, the Indiana Film
Society is committed to bringing foreign, independent and
hard-to-find films to audiences across the state. IFS sponsors a monthly Spring/Fall film series. We select a theme for each series and then screen films that fit the theme. Think of each series as an extended conversation with each film adding a new voice. Quirky, controversial, heart-wrenching, or hilarious, our goal is educate through entertainment. And you can’t beat the price. Admission is free! IFS is also home to the INDY Awards, a small film festival, held as often as funding allows. We are also proud co-sponsors of several local festivals including: The Indianapolis International Film Festival and the Indianapolis Underground Film Festival. IFS depends heavily on membership dues and donations. If you’re tired of the movie selections at the local cineplex, come join us.
